New Delhi: Aamir Khan's extensive slate of blockbuster films consists of the 1998 release, ‘Ghulam’. While the audience has seen him perfecting every role he stepped in, with Ghulam he proved it again. The way Aamir Khan played the character of a tapori, with his bang-on Bambaiya accent to his typical Bollywood fight scenes to his sizzling chemistry with Rani Mukerji, the superstar stands out as a big reason for making this blockbuster that it is today. 

Interestingly, Mona Shetty did the voiceover for Rani Mukerji in the '90s film since the producers preferred a higher-pitched voice and thought Rani's was too husky. 

As 'Siddhu', Aamir played the role of a confused, frustrated, and sensitive gunda who soon realizes the reality of life and when he becomes more loyal he has to pay for the changes. The superstar perfectly depicted every nuance of the character proving there couldn't be anyone who would have played that character better than him. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film grabbed nominations at several award functions and also took home the 44th Filmfare award for ‘Best Scene Of The Year’ for the iconic train-race scene.

‘Ghulam’ was indeed Aamir Khan's one of the iconic performances. While the film received immense love from all across, it gave the nation some evergreen songs, like Aati Kya Khandala, Aankhon Se Tune Yeh Kya Keh Diya, and Jaadu Hai Tera Hi Jaadu. Aamir Khan also gave his voice to the song Aati Kya Khandala which went on to become one of the biggest hits across the nation. With ‘Ghulam’, Aamir delivered one complete package of romance, action, and thriller.
