New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate is questioning Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez in an alleged money laundering case. The ‘Bhoot Police’ actress is reportedly being interrogated in the case in Delhi.


According to a report of ANI, Jacqueline is being questioned by the ED for the last 5 hours. The report reads, “Enforcement Directorate (ED) is questioning Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez in Delhi for the last five hours, in a money laundering case.”



An ED official also told ANI, "She is facing allegations of money laundering and that is why is she is being questioned as a witness in the ongoing case."


A few days back, the Enforcement Directorate also summoned leading Tollywood stars including actors and directors in connection with a four-year-old drugs case. The federal agency has issued summons to Telugu stars like Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Puri Jagannadh, asking them to appear before the concerned authorities for questioning. Puri Jagannadh, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan, Navdeep and Nandu have also been summoned by ED. Also, according to ED sources, Calvin Mascarenhas, who was considered to be the alleged kingpin in the drug racket, had the phone numbers of several celebrities saved in his contacts. An ED official told Times Of India that the Tollywood celebrities will be considered as witnesses in the case. The official told TOI, "We have called excise officials as witnesses. Likewise, till we get evidence Tollywood celebrities will be considered as witnesses. Their names have figured in the investigation."


Meanwhile, according to a report of IANS, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) had questioned the celebs in July 2017 as part of the investigation in the case and had arrested a South African for allegedly supplying cocaine in August 2017.
