New Delhi: The cast of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ including Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan has tested positive for COVID-19 recently. Joining them is another actor from the movie Maniesh Paul, who also tested coronavirus positive. Their director Raj Mehta has also contracted the virus. Taking to his social media, the comedian shared a picture of himself quarantined and revealed that he has tested COVID-19 positive. His caption read, “SO I HAVE TESTED COVID POSITIVE...but its very mild...nothing to worry...will bounce back soon...we all need to be extra careful....dnt let the guard down...thanks for all the get well soon wishes.. #mp #life #homebound #lockdown #2 weeks #bebacksoon #staysafe #staywell”

Maniesh was also shooting for ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. Others actors from the movie including Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani have fortunately tested negative for the virus. Varun Dhawan also shared a post confirming he tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. The ‘October’ actor shared a picture of himself on his Instagram and wrote, “So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted #covid_19 All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time thank u.”

The makers had plans to shoot in Chandigarh till December 24; however, they had to put the shoot on halt after the actors were diagnosed with COVID-19. The team is expected to resume shoot by mid-December after everyone recovers from coronavirus. 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' stars Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The two tinsel town celebs will be portraying a reel-life couple in the flick. The movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Prajkta Kohli and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles.
