Mumbai: Veteran filmmaker and actor Mahesh Manjrekar, who was diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer, recently underwent a surgery. He returned home after undergoing a successful surgery at South Mumbai's H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. His ardent fans became worried after the reports of his cancer diagnosis surfaced on the internet.
Mahesh’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar, while talking to Hindustan Times, shared a health update about her father. The newbie actress revealed that the 63-year-old is doing better now. Saiee told the daily that she wants him to share his experience to the world after undergoing a surgery.

“To keep the short answer, he has been very strong and I am very proud of him,” Saiee told Hindustan Times. She added that her dad is not comfortable with anything coming out in the media about his surgery or health.
Saiee, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Dabangg 3' opposite Salman Khan, is the daughter of Mahesh and Medha Manjrekar. She is yet to announce her next project.
Mahesh Manjrekar Opens Up On His Health
A close source told ABP News that Mahesh was suffering from urinary bladder cancer since the past few months. The doctors advised the 'Zinda' actor to opt for a surgery. He got discharged from the hospital around 10 days ago.
When ABP News contacted Mahesh Manjrekar, he had said, “I am feeling much better than before. I will be fit in a few weeks. Right now, I don’t want to talk more about my illness.”
On the professional front, Mahesh will entertain the audience with his new directorial 'Antim: The Final Truth'. The film stars Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma and Pragya Jaiswal in key roles.
Manjrekar also directed '1962: The War in the Hills', which premiered on Disney+Hotstar on February 2021. The web series starred Abhay Deol, Mahie Gill and Sumeet Vyas in lead roles.
