Kerala State Film Awards 2021 Winner List: Biju Menon, Joju George Best Actors, Revathi Best Actress

This year, Kerala State Film Awards were given out from a selection of 140 films. Check out the standouts.

New Delhi: The Kerala State Film Awards 2021 have concluded. Malayalam films' fans are super excited with the results of the awards. Biju Menon and Joju George received the 2021 Kerala State Film Award Best Actor Award ,while veteran actress Revathi walked away with the Best Actress Award.

The 52nd edition of the Kerala State Films Awards was healdined by renowned screenwriter and filmmamker Saeed Akhtar Mirza. The filmmaker praised Malayalam films and said that he has always been a great fan of Malayalam films.

"Nowhere in the country do you have such a huge variety. There is variety in everything here in the films. I have enjoyed watching all the films and it was a great experience," he told IANS, adding that it was a tough ask to select the best actor award and "we had to go for a consensus on it".

This year, awards were given out from a selection of 140 films. Check out the standouts.

Dileesh Pothen bagged the Best Director Award for 'Jojy', while 'Avasu Vyooham' won the Best Film. The Second Best Film Award went to 'Nishiddho and Chavittu'.

The Most Popular Film award went to 'Hrudyem'.

Best Character Actor – Sumesh Moor for Kala

Best Character Actress – Unnimaya Prasad for Joji

Best Children’s Film – Kaadakalam

Best Story Writer – Shahi Kabeer for Nayattu

Special Jury mention – Jeo Baby for Freedom Fight

Special Jury Award – Sherry Govindan for Avanovilona

A Special Award for the Promising Debut in Direction – Krishnendu Kalesh for Prappeda
