Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has tested positive for Covid 19. The 'Queen' actress took to Instagram and informed about her reports.
Kangana said,"I was feeling tired and weak with a slight burning sensation in my eyes for the past few days, was hoping to go to Himachal so got my test done yesterday and today the result came I am covid positive."
The actress posts hinted that she did not want to give much importance to the virus which has devasted the entire country and India is still battling. Kangana said,"It is nothing but a small-time flu which got too much press."
While the country registered the highest single-day deaths, Kangana said that the virus has just 'psyched some people'.
Earlier this week, Kangana Ranaut’s official Twitter handle @KanganaTeam was suspended by the micro-blogging site, after the actress posted a series of tweets perceived to be controversial.
Kangana had shared a video, where she commented on the reported violence that took place in West Bengal after the assembly election results were declared.
A TMC spokesperson Riju Datta has also lodged an FIR against the actress in Kolkata’s Ultadanga police station.
The FIR has been lodged based on Kangana allegedly instigating communal disharmony and giving a hate speech through the social media platform. Riju alleged that Kangana has given a hate speech against the TMC party after they won the Bengal elections over BJP. Kangana had tweeted mentioning Prime Minister about stopping the ‘gundai’ in Bengal with ‘super gundai’.
Riju has also accused the Queen actress of uploading distorted images of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
On the work front, Kangana will next be seen in her upcoming film Thalaivi where she plays late Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa. The film was slated to release on April 23 but due to the surge of the second wave of Covid19, the film has been postponed.
