Kangana Ranaut Compares Herself To Lata Mangeshkar, Says Never Danced At Weddings For 'Insane Amount Of Money'

Kangana Ranaut alleges she declined enormous sums of money offered to her for dancing at weddings and private events.

New Delhi: Actor Kangana Ranaut claimed that she has turned down "insane amount of money" that was often offered to her to perform at weddings and private events.

Recently, Kangana Ranaut posted a video of Asha Bhosle reminiscing about her late sister, singer Lata Mangeshkar, on Instagram. No matter how much money was offered to her, the late singer refused to perform at weddings, Asha said in the clip.

In the video, Asha recounts how Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary singer, was once offered a million dollars to perform at a wedding, but she declined the offer.

The same motto has been embraced by Kangana as well, she said in the caption of her lastest Instagram story.

Kangana posted a brief clip of Asha Bhosle from a reality show, saying,"Agree. Even I never danced in weddings or private parties, even though I have the most popular songs…denied insane amount of money…glad to come across this video… Lataji truly so inspiring."

Lata Mangeshkar, regarded as one of India's greatest vocalists, passed away in February of this year. 

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut is currently shooting the movie 'Emergency', which she directed. She also plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film. Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Bhumika Chawla are also featured in this period drama.
