Kajol Reveals Daughter Nysa Was Once Stopped In Singapore For Autograph: 'She’s Known All Over The World'

Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s daughter Nysa is a social media celebrity now, owing to her posts and paparazzi. There are even fan accounts created by her fans on Instagram.

Kajol recently opened up about Nysa’s popularity in an interview. She also said that though she was Tanuja’s daughter, when she started acting not many people knew her and she had the freedom to travel.   

Speaking with Mashable India, Kajol said, "At that time, there was no social media so I think life was much easier for us as children. Yes, people knew I am Tanuja’s daughter and there was a certain pre-conceived notion but not as much as it is today. Nysa was studying in Singapore. A few times people have stopped her on the bus and took her autograph." 

She added, "So, it’s strange but she’s known all over the world. I wasn’t till I started acting in films. At least, I had the freedom that if I went somewhere, like London, there weren’t so many people who knew me till I got into film line myself." 

Nysa is currently studying International Hospitality at Switzerland's Glion Institute of Higher Education.   

Kajol is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Salaam Venky’. Earlier, in an interview with PTI, Kajol had revealed that she didn’t want to do the film first because of the subject. 

“It’s not the kind of film that you can ever do without feeling. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to do the film because it’s a subject that is everyone’s nightmare. It was difficult for me to say yes to it. The great thing about Revathi is she made it easy as we were in the same situation day in and day out and it takes that fear away, besides Salaam Venky is written so beautifully. It is a celebration of life and the film teaches you that life should be a celebration,” Kajol had told PTI. 

Salaam Venky, also starring Vishal Jethwa in the lead role, will release on December 9.
