Panchayat 2 Release Date Is Out: Jitendra Kumar Is Coming Back To Amazon Prime This Month

'Panchayat' also features Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta in key roles. Jitendra Kumar plays Abhishek Kumar who joins as secretary of a panchayat office in Phulera.

New Delhi: 'Panchayat's second season is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video. The much-anticipated social comedy drama about the village of Phelura and the misadventures of an engineering graduate caught audience's attention in the first season for being a one-of-a kind-different-genre of TV series.

Amazon Prime Video took to its official social media handles to share the news of the release date of the second season of 'Panchayat'. Their post on Twitter read, “intezaar hua khatam kyunki panchayat jald hogi aarambh! 🎬 #PanchayatOnPrime, new season May 20”.

The streaming giant also shared an announcement teaser that cleverly opens at the close of the first season where we see the lead actor (Jitendra Kumar) go around the village water tank in response to the voice of a woman he hears. Instead of the mysterious woman( whose identity is supposed to be revealed in Season 2) we see the wall graffiti mentioning the release date of the second season which is 20th May 2022.

Audiences are excited to see what brims and brews between this mysterious woman and Jitendra Kumar in the show.

'Panchayat' also features Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta in key roles. Jitendra Kumar plays Abhishek Kumar who joins as secretary of a panchayat office in Phulera. From the team of The Viral Fever, 'Panchayat 2' also stars Biswapati Sarkar and Chandan Roy.

The first season of 'Panchayat' released in April 2020 on Amazon Prime and received favourable reviews from fans and critics alike.

Deepak Kumar Mishra has directed the series that is all set to release on 20th May 2022.
