Jayeshbhai Jordaar Box Office Day 7: Ranveer Singh’s Starrer Sees A Setback

The movie is going up against some South Indian films such as KGF: Chapter 2 and Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which stars Mahesh Babu.

New Delhi: Jayeshbhai Jordaar, starring Ranveer Singh, hit theatres on May 13th. Audiences were unimpressed with the film when it premiered. While the film did poorly over the weekend, it also did not do well during the weekdays.

Divyang Thakkar wrote and directed Jayeshbhai Jordaar, a social comedy-drama. Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma are the film's producers under Yash Raj Films. A Gujarati guy who challenges patriarchy is played by Ranveer Singh in the film.

Despite the star-studded cast and a compelling story centered on a social concern, many people thought Jayeshbhai Jordaar to be unappealing. On the seventh day of its release, it reportedly collected Rs 17 crore at the box office.

In addition, the movie is going up against some formidable opposition from South Indian films such as KGF: Chapter 2, which was released in theatres on April 14th, and Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which stars Mahesh Babu.

Since its release on May 12th, Sarkaru Vaari Paata has been a big success with both critics and audiences alike. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office king Manobala Vijayabalan said the film is doing well. During its seventh day at the box office, the film raked in Rs 2.69 crore in the two states. These states have now collected Rs 121.75 crore, which is a new record.

In the aftermath of Jayeshbhai Jordaar's flop at the box office, many smaller content-based films should consider an OTT distribution. When a picture fails at the box office, the public's response is harsher and more severe, but when it is distributed digitally, the reaction is less harsh and more measured.
