'Ganda Aadmi Aapko...': Nawazuddin Siddiqui On Why He Doesn't React To Rumours About His Personal Life
Nawaz said that rumours are propagated with the intent of casting the other person as the villain.
New Delhi: Nawazuddin Siddiqui's personal life issues have brought him into the spotlight recently. Nawaz and his estranged wife Aaliya Siddiqui got into nasty public confrontations for quite some time. The actor has now explained why he avoided addressing the rumours concerning his private life. Nawaz said it was hopeless to do anything about the rumours in a recent interview. Everyone, in his opinion, is hiding within themselves. He said it was human nature to take pleasure in the suffering of others.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui's first made the headlines when his estranged wife Aaliya claimed that the actor's mother had harassed her on many occasions. She also said Nawazuddin 'disowned' their children. Their children, Shora and Yaani, were recently ordered by the court to resume their education in Dubai.
Defining why rumours are being circulated, Nawaz said that rumours are propagated with the intent of casting him as the villain. He continued by saying that it is futile to try to stop rumours once others begin spreading fuel for them and people begin to believe them.
Nawazuddin told ETimes, “You can't do anything about the rumour. It has happened even earlier that one rumour was spread by someone purposely to make a person into a villain. The way a rumour spreads, others also keep adding fuel to the fire and people start believing it. Thus, the person in question becomes a villain. By the time the truth comes out, his career is over. Everyone is in their shell. Agar ek ki pit rahi hai, toh sab maze le rahe hai (If you are in misery, everyone takes pleasure out of it)”
He added, “Ganda aadmi aapko lalkarta hai aur jab aap uske paale mein jaate hain, wahan woh aapse smart hota hai (A bad person provokes you, and almost gets you to their territory. That's where you know that you've been outsmarted.) So, it's better to let the rumours spread and not react.”
Meanwhile, Nawazuddin’s film 'Afwaah' co-starring Bhumi Pednekar is scheduled to release on May 5th.
