Feeling Blessed': Jamie Foxx Posts For The First Time After Medical Emergency And Hospitalisation

Jamie was rushed to an Atlanta hospital on April 11 while shooting his new movie 'Back in Action,' which also stars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.

On April 12, Foxx's daughter Corinne had revealed that the actor had "experienced a medical complication".

"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” she had said.

The 55-year-old actor reportedly had to be revived by doctors, but their immediate actions luckily saved his life.

" It was touch and go for days with him, and he had to be revived - he is very lucky to be alive! He's very lucky he got the treatment he did. Jamie suffers from high blood pressure, which doctors say can cause clots in the brain leading to a stroke. Doctors believe this was a long time coming, and really, if they hadn't acted fast, Jamie might well have been a goner. Jamie has absolutely been troubled throughout the shoot. He wasn't fun to be around - especially for Cameron. But now there seems to have been a good reason for it,” a source told Radar Online.

Foxx was recently seen shooting the upcoming Netflix film ‘Back in Action’ in Atlanta.

"Back in Action" reunites Foxx with Cameron Diaz, who took an eight-year break from acting before Foxx convinced her for the action comedy.

The highly anticipated film will be the first big-screen project Diaz has starred in since 2014's Annie remake, which also featured Foxx.

The film is directed by Seth Gordon and also features Glenn Close.
