Fans Hope Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Will Not Get Divorced - Here’s Why

Aishwaryaa has not changed the name of her social media accounts. It still remains ‘Aishwaryaa R Dhanush’. Read on for more details.

New Delhi: Megastar Dhanush and his wife Aishwaryaa Rajnikanth announced their separation on their social media pages a few days back. They walked their separate ways post 18 years of marriage.

Fans are upset over the couple’s decision and are looking for every little hope that the couple will come back together. Fans have now noticed that there is actually a possibility that the two will not get divorced.  This is because, despite the announcement of their separation, Aishwaryaa has not changed the name of her social media accounts. It still remains ‘Aishwaryaa R Dhanush’. She hasn’t given up her husband’s surname just yet.

Fans were quick to compare this to Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce. They pointed out that Samantha had dropped her husband’s name and had started using her maiden name again. But this is not the case with Aishwaryaa as she continues to use Dhanush’s surname. She has not deleted Dhanush’s pictures from her feed either.

In addition to this, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa have not resorted to the legal proceedings to officially end their marriage yet. Kasturi Raja, Dhanush’s father, recently said that the couple had a usual family quarrel and the elders of the family are trying to advise them to live together.

For those who missed out, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa shared similar-looking statements on their social media profiles announcing that they had ended their marriage and demanded some privacy in such a time.

The statement read, “Eighteen years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Namashivaaya! Spread love, D”.
