Producer Vashu Bhagnani filed a case against Prerna, saying that he suffered a loss of 30 crores at the hands of the latter, who had signed off the rights of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Pad Man' and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer 'Kedarnath', to him, after the film's release.
His claim that Prerna had signed such contracts with other producers as well, led to her arrest in 2018. She was later released in 2019.
Prerna announced her next project 'Rosie: The Saffron Chapter' starring Palak Tiwari and Vivek Oberoi in 2020. She is facing charges for uncleared dues and spending production money without any thought, on her personal expenses.
As per a report in Filmfare, a source close to Prerna revealed that she has been staying at a five-star hotel in Santa Cruz, where she is yet to pay the bills that amount to more than Rs 20 lakh.
More development in the case is awaited.
