Daniel Craig Feels Too Old To Keep Playing James Bond As ‘No Time To Die’ Gets A New Release Date

Hollywood star Daniel Craig who will mark his fifth and final appearance as 007 in 'No Time to Die'says he has grown too old to play super spy James Bond

The new James Bond movie No Time To Die on Friday set a world premiere date for late September, despite speculation in the entertainment industry that the film’s release might be delayed for a fourth time because of the coronavirus pandemic.

A posting on the official @007 Bond Twitter account said the red carpet world premiere for the Universal Pictures and MGM film would take place in London on September 28, ahead of the planned September 30 release date in U.K. movie theaters.

Meanwhile, Hollywood star Daniel Craig who will mark his fifth and final appearance as 007 in 'No Time to Die'says he has grown too old to play super spy James Bond as he is required to perform demanding stunts in the Bond movies.

Craig realised he was aging for the part after struggling with injuries while playing the very athletic spy.

He lost two teeth on his first outing as Bond, in 2006's 'Casino Royale', sliced off a fingertip filming 2008's 'Quantum of Solace', and fractured his ankle on 'No Time to Die'.

"I still do as many stunts as I can because I enjoy the physicality of it - I always have, even before Bond. But I have grown older and don't bounce back as well as I did. I've hurt myself on every single Bond movie since I started, it's just par for the course," Craig told British magazine Candis.

The actor confirmed, again, that 'No Time to Die' will be his last 007 film.

"It's absolutely the last. It's time for somebody else to have a go now," he said, admitting that he has mixed feelings about handing in his licence to kill because there has been "no downside to playing Bond."
