‘I Got Something For You…’: Will Smith Shares Official Statement On Speculation About Jada Pinkett Smith’s Memoir
Will Smith addressed the ongoing speculations after Jada revealed details about their marriage.
New Delhi: Will Smith addressed the ongoing speculations about his relationship with his estranged wife Jada Pinkett in a statement that he recently released on Instagram. After Jada revealed details about her marriage while promoting her memoir 'Worthy', the rumours began to circulate.
On Tuesday, the actor took to Instagram and posted a short video titled "OFFICIAL STATEMENT".
Smith starts the video by saying, "I got something for you; here’s the thing... so my opinion.”
At this point, he unexpectedly sneezes, and the video cuts to a waterfall in a dense forest, then scenes of a desert and a beach.

Recently, Will opened up about his feelings about Jada’s book, which also discussed her personal struggles with depression and her infamous Oscar slap. “When you’ve been with someone for over half your life, there’s a kind of emotional blindness that sets in,” he wrote in an email to the New York Times.
"You can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties." he further said.
In an interview with NBC News with Hoda Kotb, Jada shared that she and Smith had been separated for seven years. They reached the end of their attempts to reconcile. She stated that she had been stuck in her own ideas of what the couple should be and that she had made a promise to Smith that they would never get divorced and that they would work through any issues that arose.
Earlier, Pinkett Smith announced her split from Smith in an exclusive interview with Today, which aired on October 11. The couple had been together since 2016, and their public image of being a united front was cemented during last year’s Academy Awards ceremony. Smith clapped back at presenter Chris Rock for joking about Pinkett’s hair loss before accepting the award for Best Actor. He was later banned from attending the Academy Awards for 10 years. They not officially divorced yet, but they are working on getting back to being a real couple, Jada said on the Today show on Monday.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett got married in 1997. The pair has two children, namely Jaden and Willow.
