New Delhi: Vivek Oberoi has seen a resurgence in roles and career for him post the boom in OTT platforms and releases in the form of movies and web series. The actor, who began his career with films like 'Saathiya' and 'Company', recently opened up about tough times and dealing with stress and depression.
Recently, in an interview with Mirchi Plus, Vivek was asked, "What advice would you give ‘young Vivek Oberoi’”? The actor replied, “My advice to him would be ‘Don’t take stress about anything and when you feel that it is the end of the world, it is not because everything is transient. Nothing is permanent. Today there is success, tomorrow it is gone. Chill, relax and enjoy.”
“I have wasted so much time taking stress and pressure. I slipped into depression and my mental health was very bad at that time when I dealt with a lot of issues. For the first time when people told me ‘Bro, your career is over,’ I was in very much stress. I thought I had just started, how can it end.” (Sic)
Vivek Oberoi will soon be seen in a key role in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming Prime Video cop-verse series ‘Indian Police Force’.
The actor also added in the same interaction, "But with god’s grace, even today, the work I get is more than the work I am able to do. I have to reject things because sometimes it doesn’t suit me as an actor or it doesn’t challenge me as an actor.”
Meanwhile, ‘Indian Police Force’ also stars Shilpa Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. The trailer of the series promises the typical Rohit Shetty entertainer on a grander and yet more intimate scale, considering that the stunts and action choreography will be seen by millions on their personal devices and not the thetare screen.
‘Indian Polcie Force’ will be releasing on January 19, 2024.
