New Delhi: ‘The Kerala Story’ starring Adah Sharma is a financial smash, taking in over 200 crores at the movie office. The actress is presently enjoying the acclaim she has received for her performance in the film. The fact that the protagonists of Sudipto Sen's The Kerala Story are a group of women in Kerala who are coerced into becoming members of ISIS is only one of the many reasons why the film has been in the spotlight. Now, it has been reported that Adah Sharma is being harassed after her contact information leaked online.

An Instagram user with the handle jhamunda_bolte has allegedly revealed her contact information and threatened to reveal Adah's new phone number, as reported by E-times.

Adah Sharma supporters in Mumbai have petitioned the Mumbai Cyber Cell to investigate and punish the offending user. Adah, on the other hand, has shown no reaction to the incident yet.

This month, Adah also met with a car crash. She was on her way to Telangana for the Hindu Eka Yatra, but it was cancelled after an accident. After receiving multiple messages of worry from her admirers, Adah rushed to Twitter to assure them that she was fine.

On May 5, 'The Kerala Story,' a movie about conversion that has polarised political discourse in the nation and resulted in bans in some areas and tax-free status in others, was released.

Meanwhile, some political parties and organisations have spoken out against ‘The Kerala Story’, calling it propaganda and demanding that it be banned. Mamata Banerjee, chief minister of West Bengal, has banned the film out of fear for public safety. The film's success at the box office comes despite its controversial topic.

Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani play the main characters in 'The Kerala Story'.
