  • Sidhu Moose Wala never wanted to be a singer initially. He was more inclined towards being a lyricist. It is said that Moose Wala wrote songs for Deep Sandhu and many other Punjabi singers until he began singing on his own.


 



  • It is said that before releasing his first album, most of Moose Wala's songs were leaked online. Despite the official release, Moose Wala became supremely popular overnight when his songs leaked online.


 



  • Sidhu Moose Wala has sung more than 50 songs. He is now regarded among the greatest and most controversial Punjabi artists of all time. He also has the most number-one singles on the Billboard India Songs chart. 


 



  • Moose Wala also joined the Indian National Congress(INC) and contested the Punjab Legislative Assembly election for Mansa in 2022. This was an unsuccessful attempt.


 



  • Moose Wala was known for controversial lyrics, especially when it came to accusations around 'promoting gun culture, hurting religious sentiments, gangsta rap and deeply political lyrics'.


 



  • Sidhu Moose Wala admired American rapper and songwriter Tupac Shakur. Interestingly, Moose Wala’s assasination was quite similar to how Shakur was killed in 1997.


 



  • In December 2020, Moose Wala released a single 'Panjab: My Motherland' in support of the Indian farmers' protest agaist the 2020 Indian agricultural acts, which features clips of Sikh militant Bhindranwale and Khalistan supporter Bharpur Singh Balbir;s speeches from the 80s. 


Sidhu Moose Wala Death


Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in his car on May 29, 2022 in his village Mansa. Later, as per the police, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the muder. 


Moose Wala was among the 424 people whose police security was reduced or entirely moved the day before, in preparation for the anniversary of Operation Blue Star, leaving him with two commandos. 


At the time of the accident, Moose Wala is said to have been travelling in his private car accompanied by two others instead of his bullet-proof vehicle with the commandos.
