New Delhi: Popular Punjabi singer Karan Aujla talked openly about the rising threats inside the Punjabi music industry. Aujla spoke from personal experience by revealing that his own house had been shot at many times. In the latest podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, the singer shared the idea behind the need for protection, especially for Punjabi artists. 


Speaking about the need for protection, Karan Aujla said, “This has become a very tough situation right now, all the artists are also going through this. You know what the atmosphere has been like, what is going on.”


Karan Aujla Recalls When His House Was Shot


According to Karan Aujla, he has to handle his personal issues while simultaneously considering how to stay safe.


He said, “I am an artist. I am making songs. What have I done so serious that this is happening? My personal problems are different, then the problems with my career and I should deal with those too. I also have my own life which I am living right now. I have my family. Now I am going to extend my family, I am probably going to have kids. I am going to have kids soon. My career has to be kept up and I have to stay safe.”


He added, “I don't have an option. I’ve been through some like my family has been targeted. I have been targeted. My house has been shot at three or four times. I have seen the bullet pass through me. The house in Canada is made of wood. Nothing stopping these bullets. So, it's like I have seen it, brother. I have heard that voice. I saw it with my own eyes. Why is this happening to me? I am not doing anything. I am making songs."






Karan concluded by saying, “I didn’t sign up for all these.”
