Siddhant Chaturvedi , who is currently promoting 'Yudhra', recounted the story of his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan.

Siddhant Chaturvedi, who is currently promoting 'Yudhra', recalled his first encounters with Bollywood superstars. The actor became popular after starring in ‘Gully Boy’, also starring Ranveer Singh. Siddhant recounted the story of his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan in a recent interview with Mashable India.

Siddhant Chaturvedi recalls the moment Shah Rukh Khan kissed his hand

During the interview, Siddhant was asked if he managed the unlikely feat of getting compliments from Bollywood stars. After Gully Boy came out, the actor remembers running into Shah Rukh.

"First off, I remember being at Zoya's house after Gully Boy. Someone grabbed my hand from behind; I turned around, and it was Shah Rukh sir, who kissed my hand and asked, 'Your work is amazing?' This is my first time seeing him in person," Siddhant Chaturvedi said in Hindi.

Later in the interview, Siddhant shared that he went to Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat, with his friends. He said, "I had taken my friends to Shah Rukh sir's house. He's an amazing guy. I was just chilling when I met him at Soho House, and my friends asked me to introduce them. So, I just said hello. Shah Rukh sir asked what I was doing today, and I said nothing. He said, 'Come to Mannat.' I replied that I had my friends with me, and he said, 'If your friends are there, then we are also Jawan’."

Siddhant Chaturvedi got emotional after meeting Salman Khan

Siddhant also recalled how he got emotional after Salman Khan praised his performance in ‘Gully Boy’. When the actor went to promote his film ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ on Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman, he broke down into tears.

"Then it happened on Bigg Boss. I came on stage and started crying because, before the stage, he told me, 'This guy does great work.' He praised me a lot while talking to Rani Mukerji and didn’t say it directly to me. So, that really touched me," he said.

The actor also received a special letter from Amitabh Bachchan after the release of his film. "The letter from Bachchan sir came after Gully Boy. It was very special for me," Siddhant added.

'Gully Boy', which was chosen as India's official entry for the 2019 Oscars, starred Siddhant as MC Sher, a street rapper who became the actor's breakthrough role.
