New Delhi: Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor purchased a sleek red Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica, adding to her car collection on the occasion of Dussehra.

On Wednesday, the actress was seen driving her new Lamborghini, worth a whopping Rs 4 crore, to the famed ISKCON temple in Juhu, and she even performed a puja to welcome her new set of wheels home.

The photos and videos of the actress, along with her new car, went viral all over the internet. In October 2019, Shraddha had vocally opposed the felling of trees and wrote on Instagram, “This is wrong and should not be happening. Mumbaikars, wake up.” She also attended the protest wearing a T-shirt with ‘Save Aarey’ written on it and held up posters at the protest site.

The actress faced a barrage of criticism from the online community, and social media was flooded with images of her from the 2019 protest as people started trolling her left, right, and center. One fan wrote, "Shraddha Kapoor buys a Rs 4 crore Lamborghini that drinks fuel and spews CO2. Is this the same Shraddha Kapoor who protested against the cutting of trees in Aarey Forest?"

"Selective activist of the environment, Shraddha didn't want a car shed and opposed the Metro project, which is essential for common Mumbaikars, but didi khud luxurious car leke ghumegi (but she will ride in luxurious cars herself)," another fan wrote. Some even called her India's version of Greta Thunberg. Others called her a hypocrite, pointing out that the mileage of the car she bought for Rs 4.1 crore is 7.1 kmpl, according to Carwale, which means more CO2 emissions.
