Shah Rukh Khan Wishes Amitabh Bachchan On 81st Birthday; Calls Him 'Toughest Of Them All'

Shah Rukh Khan wished veteran actor and his longtime co-star Amitabh Bachchan on the veteran's 81st birthday.

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan wished veteran actor and his longtime co-star Amitabh Bachchan on the veteran's 81st birthday. The 'Jawan' actor shared a picture with Big B with a sweet note on the legend's resilience. Shah Rukh Khan also shared a compliment about Amitabh Bachchan's fitness.Taking to his official social media handle on Wednesday, SRK shared a picture of himself taken while the two look like they are running in motion.

He captioned the picture, "“Tough runs don’t last….tough runners do. And Sir you are the toughest of them all. Last 30 yrs just being around u and breathing the same air as you….has been a blessing. The picture taken is from a recent commercial which SRK shot with Amitabh Bachchan for a popular masala brand. In the ad, both can be seen teasing themselves as they're ready to wrap up shoot and in their vanity fans amid paparazzi so that they can get their favourite food at home.

Previously, Amitabh Bachchan and SRK have co-starred in blockbusters like 'Mohabbatein' by Aditya Chopra in 2000, Karan Johar's iconic piece 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' and in the 2006 film by Karan 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna'.

Meanwhile, as the veteran star turns 81, Amitabh Bachchan treated fans outside his residence. Several Bollywood celebs wished the star in their special manner and the entire country seems to have celebrated the megastar’s birthday like a festival.

Big B has starred in more than 200 films and is often regarded as the 'Shahenshah of Bollywood' 'Sadi Ke Mahanayak', 'Star of the Millenium' and more. His dominance in the Indian movie industry during the 70-80s made the French auteur  François Truffaut  call it 'one-man industry'.
