The actor, who had done a short role in ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’ before, got his big break in Sooraj Barjatya directorial and became a heartthrob after the films’s immense success. A video of the actor’s screen test has resurfaced on the internet where he is seen enacting the scene where he tries to befriend Bhagyashree.

The clip shows Salman holding a guitar and a rose and saying a dialogue on friendship. The actor’s screen test was initially rejected, however, after five months, Sooraj met Salman again and decided to cast him for the film as no other actor was willing to work with the production house.

In a 2022 interview, Sooraj Barjatya had said, “At Rajshri, our production house, our last few films were a flop and we were suffering financially. No actor wanted to work with us. And then one day, I met a young man who we’d rejected after his first screen test. But there was something about him. So, five months later, we got him on board. That man was Salman Khan."
