Notably, hours after the incident, a Facebook post claiming responsibility for the firing surfaced. It is alleged that Anmol Bishnoi uploaded the post. Police stated on Tuesday that the investigation hinted that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was involved in hiring the two people who were detained.

Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, who were arrested on Sunday for allegedly firing shots at Salman Khan's home in Bandra, were giving the jailed detained suspect detailed information about their movements, the official said. The calls were made via the Internet.

The official said that they left Mumbai after the incident and made their way to Bhuj. They also changed the SIM card of the phone they were using to communicate when they were close to Surat. The officer stated that the suspect was soon located and arrested in Haryana. Later, he was taken to Mumbai for investigation, although he had not yet been taken into custody in the case.
