Netizens Mock Ranveer Singh For Reusing Story Of First Meeting With Anushka Sharma For Deepika Padukone On Koffee With Karan
When Ranveer recounted the story about how he met his wife, Deepika, many of their fans were in awe.
New Delhi: The first episode Karan Johar's 'Koffee with Karan' season 8 aired recently, and social media is overflowing with memes and clips from the show. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone appeared together on a chat show for the first time. When Ranveer recounted the story about how he met his wife, Deepika, many of their fans were in awe.
But now, a few internet users have begun to make fun of him for "repurposing" his own narrative of how he met his former partner, Anushka Sharma, which he told on a 2011 episode of the popular talk show.
"I watched Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and was completely mesmerised by Anushka. We go out for dinner, I am with this model and all I can talk about is just Anushka," he told Karan Johar.
In the latest episode of the chat show, Ranveer stated that after seeing 'Cocktail', all he could think of was Deepika when Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his teammates were discussing who would play the lead in 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela-Ramleela'.
To be precise, Ranveer spoke of "huge doors" that opened to let the wind swoop in his face as he witnessed Anushka and Deepika in each of the scenes he was in.
Internet users promptly posted comments on a mash-up of Ranveer's stories from the two episodes.
