Fake images of celebrities such as Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Selena Gomez at the Met Gala 2024 went viral on social media. Now, a photo of Indian actor Nitanshi Goel, who played the role of Phool in Kiran Rao's ‘Laapataa Ladies’, from the Met Gala, has surfaced on the internet. 

Laapataa Ladies' actor Nitanshi Goel makes Met Gala debut

The 17-year-old actor supposedly made her Met Gala debut. The official social media handles of Aamir Khan Productions, which produced ‘Laapataa Ladies’, shared Nitanshi's picture on Monday evening from the Met Gala green carpet. Phool was seen wearing a red sari, a maroon shawl over her shoulders, and a matching bindi on her forehead. The actor looked like the character from the film and flashed her brightest smile. 

“Our Phool blossoming in the garden of time (flower emoji) Watch #LaapataaLadies on @NetflixIndia now.” Nitanshi shared the post on her social media handles and wrote in the caption, “Met Gala 2024,” the caption of the post read.

The film ‘Laapataa Ladies’, a story set in 2001 in rural India, revolves around two young brides who get separated during a train journey. Nitanshi played Phool, one of the young brides who gets lost. The movie is directed by Kiran Rao and backed by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande.
