Fahadh Faasil Set To Debut In Bollywood With Imtiaz Ali’s Next Love Story: Report
According to a report, Hindi film director Imtiaz Ali is in advanced discussions to cast Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil in his next film.
New Delhi: Rumour has it that acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, whose works include ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Rockstar’, is preparing to helm a love tale in an unconventional way. As per media reports, this film will also be the first Bollywood debut of the highly regarded Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil.
According to Pinkvilla, Fahadh is eager to break into Hindi film with a director of Imtiaz Ali's magnitude and is reportedly in advanced talks with Ali. “Fahadh and Imtiaz have done several meetings over the last few months, and their energies have aligned in the right way. Both of them prefer to work in the right set up, and are set to team up for the first time. Fahadh is also excited to debut in the Hindi space with a director like Imtiaz,” Pinkvilla quoted.
Casting for the female lead is ongoing for the project, which is labelled as a "pure love story." Also, “Imtiaz is making a pure love story, and the casting for the female protagonist is underway. He is excited about the subject and feels this is the right time to tell the story. He has gone ahead to pitch the film to Fahadh because he feels that the actor fits the bill and the story calls for his casting,” the insider added.
In the first quarter of 2025, the project is anticipated to go on floors, with a release scheduled for the end of the same year. Now that the screenplay is in its final form, Imtiaz Ali may begin pre-production.

Fahadh Faasil’s most recent film ‘Aavesham’ follows three Bengaluru college students as they deal with a bully by enlisting the aid of a local mobster. Meanwhile, the actor was most recently seen in the film ‘Manorathangal’.
