To Paint Her As Some Villian Is Shameful: Kusha Kapila’s Ex-Husband Zorawar Ahluwalia Reacts After The Former Gets Trolled
Social media influencer Kusha Kapila shared the news of her separation from her husband Zorawar Ahluwalia.
New Delhi: Actor and social media influencer Kusha Kapila shared the news of her separation from her husband Zorawar Ahluwalia on her Instagram account. For the first time, the social media influencer's ex-husband has opened up about their divorce. After Kusha Kapila was the target of severe trolling ever since they announced their separation on June 26, Zorawar made a choice to speak out about the situation.
Taking to his Instagram Story, Zorawar wrote, “We realise we live public lives, but we still hold certain things sacred. Our marriage and respect for each other being one of them. Divorce much like our marriage was a decision we both made together, after much deliberation and thought. It was a tough and painful decision but one we took collectively, for the sake of both of our well-being. What has transpired over the last 24 hours, with Kusha being subject to vile attacks online makes me sad and disappointed. To attack Kusha’s character and paint her as some villain is shameful. Let’s all please do better."
An old video of Kusha and Karan Johar talking about infidelity appeared on Reddit on Tuesday amid the announcement of their divorce, sparking a massive backlash against her.
The video was taken from an episode of the online chat show 'Social Media Star with Janice', in which Kusha and Karan both made appearances. In the old video, the filmmaker told Kusha, “And remember sexual infidelity is not infidelity." Kusha nodded in agreement with the statement and said, "I believe that." Internet users were not pleased with her comment and criticised her for apparently endorsing "infidelity".

Meanwhile, Kusha updated her followers on her personal life, letting them know that they would still care for their pet dog, Maya.
She wrote in her announcement post, “Zorawar and I have mutually decided to part ways. This hasn’t been an easy decision by any measure but we know it’s the right one at this point in our lives. The love and life we have shared together continues to mean everything for us but sadly, what we seek currently for ourselves doesn’t align. We gave it our all, until we couldn’t anymore."
Kusha Kapila started out as a lifestyle journalist who became popular for her funny Instagram videos. She made her TV debut on the Abish Mathew-hosted show 'Son of Abish'. She most recently appeared in 'Masaba Masaba season 2' as a PR manager.
