Panjak Udhas rose to fame with Mahesh Bhatt's film 'Naam' in 1986 when he sang for the film's album. 'Chitthi' Aayi Hai Aayi Hai' is from the same film. 

 

Kisi Ne Bhi To Na Dekha

'Kisi Ne Bhi To Na Dekha' is from the film 'Dil Aashna Hai'( 1992). Sung by Pankaj Udhas, the lyrics of the ghazal were composed by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

After making a name for himself with several classic renditions, Pankaj Udhas reached an even wider and loyal fanbase with his playback singing in films. After making his Bollywood debut in 1986 with the film 'Naam' by Mahesh Bhatt; the ghazal sensation never looked back.

Pankaj Udhas was also a recipient of India's fourth highest-civilian honour, the Padma Shri.

His family has reported that Pankaj Udhas passed away on February 26 at the age of 72 following a protracted illness. The ghazal maestro's death was confirmed by a statement issued by the singer's family. 

The family's statement read: "With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February due to a prolonged illness. Udhas family."
