KBC 16: Nana Patekar Shares Sweet Memory of Amitabh Bachchan Becoming Grandfather And Big B's Gift To Him

This Friday, viewers of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 are in for a treat as Nana Patekar joins Amitabh Bachchan on the hot seat in a special episode featuring the cast of Vanvas. Alongside Patekar, the episode will also feature Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and writer-director Anil Sharma. The quiz show, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, promises an evening filled with nostalgia, humour, and heartfelt moments. 

Nana Patekar, appearing on the show to support the Naam Foundation, will use the platform to raise awareness and funds for the cause of preventing farmer suicides—a mission close to his heart. 

Nana Patekar recalls an anecdote with Amitabh Bachchan

During the episode, Nana shares some endearing memories with Amitabh Bachchan, including a playful anecdote from the sets of their 1999 film Kohram. Recalling the moment, Nana said, “We were shooting for the movie Kohram, and one day, Amit ji came and was distributing sweets to everyone. I asked him, 'What’s the occasion?' and he said, 'My daughter just had a baby, main Nana ban gaya hu!' (I became a grandfather).” True to his signature wit, Nana humorously replied, “Kitne saal lag gaye, main toh janam se Nana hu (It took you these many years, and I have been Nana since birth).”

Another story shared by Nana involved a gesture that highlighted Amitabh Bachchan's thoughtfulness. He recalled, “One day, Amit ji came wearing a beautiful shirt. I complimented him, and Amit ji told me that it belonged to Abhishek (Bachchan, his son). Later that evening, Amit ji left, and my pack-up was a bit delayed. When I went to my vanity after my shoot, I found that same shirt hanging there. It’s still with me to this day." 

The much-anticipated episode will air on Sony Entertainment Television on Friday at 9 PM.  

'Vanvas' is scheduled to release on December 20.
