John Abraham Pens Note For Ratan Tata, Who Once Co-Produced His Film 'Aetbaar'

New Delhi: As Ratan Tata passed away on October 9, 2024, heartfelt condolences for the legendary industrialist poured in from all quarters. From aviation and steel to food, Tata had done it all and how. As industry veterans, celebrities, politicians and people share fond memories and remember the icon, actor John Abraham also penned a note for him on his official Twitter handle.

"Had the honour of spending time with a man who inspired me and gave me to believe that making society a better place is my calling. He was kind to humans and animals alike…I hope some of us can follow in your shadow…I will.. Will miss you #RatanTata," he wrote.

Ratan Tata's connection with films
Not many know that John Abraham knew Ratan Tata on a personal level, especially with the latter's relationship to his film 'Aetbaar'.
A jack of many trades and masters of all, Tata had also ventured into filmmaking and production; a fact not known to many. Tata co-produced a romantic thriller 'Aetbaar' alongside Vikram Bhatt. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. The film was adapted from 1996 Hollywood movie 'Fear'.

Several Bollywood stars paid tribute to the legendary icon. From Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Simi Garewal and others, many shared pictures of Ratan Tata and penned hearfelt posts in his memory.
Actor Priyanka Chopra wrote, “Through your kindness, you touched the lives of millions. Your legacy of leadership and generosity will continue to inspire generations. Thank you for your unmatched passion and dedication for everything you did for our country. You have been an inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed, Sir.”
Calling Ratan Tata a true visionary, Ajay Devgn penned a note that said, “The world mourns the loss of a visionary. Ratan Tata’s legacy will forever inspire generations. His contributions to India and beyond are immeasurable. We are deeply grateful. Rest in peace, Sir.”
Ratan Tata passes away
Ratan Tata, who led the Tata Group for over two decades, passed away at 11:30 pm on Wednesday at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. The Padma Vibhusan awardee, Tata had been in intensive care since Monday.
