Jaideep Ahlawat Confirms He’s Not Part Of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayana’: Offer Tha...'

Jaideep Ahlawat has confirmed he won’t be seen in the upcoming Ramayana film with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, citing date clashes as the reason.

Acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat has finally addressed speculation regarding his involvement in the much-anticipated 'Ramayana' film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The 'Paatal Lok' star revealed that although he was indeed approached for a role, scheduling conflicts ultimately prevented him from being part of the epic project.

'Offer Hua Tha': Jaideep Opens Up on Casting Rumours

Speaking during an interview with The Lallantop, Jaideep candidly responded to a fan who asked if he would be seen in Ramayana. “Offer hua tha. Par woh timing match nahi ho rahi thi,” he said, confirming that he had to let go of the opportunity due to overlapping commitments.

Providing further insight, he added, “Unko ek particular timing chahiye tha kyuki Vibhishan ke saath Ravana ka hona zaroori hain… toh do actors ke dates ke saath match hona tha. I'm sure Ravana ki dates mujh se zyada important hogi.” With KGF star Yash locked in to play Ravana, Jaideep implied that aligning both actors’ schedules proved too difficult.

Ranbir, Sai, and Yash Gear Up for the Mega Epic

The upcoming 'Ramayana' is shaping up to be one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious mythological projects. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi have already begun filming for their roles as Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, respectively. Their on-screen transformation created waves last year when leaked set photos made rounds on social media.

The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol, Lara Dutta, and Ravi Dubey in key roles. The film is planned as a two-part saga, with Part 1 expected to hit theatres during Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in 2027.

While fans may be disappointed by Jaideep’s absence, his acknowledgment adds clarity to ongoing casting chatter. With production well underway, the excitement around this mythological spectacle continues to grow.
