Diljit Dosanjh’s ongoing Dil-Luminati India Tour has been taking the singer across the country. A new video from the singer's Ahmedabad concert shows him falling on stage.

Diljit Dosanjh’s ongoing Dil-Luminati India Tour has been taking the singer across the country, delighting fans with his electrifying performances. After performing in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Hyderabad, the Punjabi pop sensation made his way to Ahmedabad for a much-anticipated show on November 17. A video from the concert, widely shared on social media, shows Diljit performing his hit song Patiala Peg. As he moved around the stage, the singer lost his balance and fell. However, Diljit quickly recovered, flashing a smile and continuing the show as if nothing had happened.

In the video, Diljit is seen asking the backup singers to pause, and then saying the organisers in Hindi, “The fire you launch here, don’t do that. Oil gets spilled on the stage.” He gestures to the crowd with a thumbs up, reassuring everyone that he was fine, and then continues with his performance.

Netizens react

Fans of the singer took to social media, sharing the video with the caption, “Even stars stumble! Diljit Dosanjh takes a fall during his Ahmedabad concert but bounces back with his signature charm, proving the show must always go on!”

Interestingly, many fans found the timing of the fall quite symbolic. Diljit had just sung a line from the song Patiala Peg that references falling, and immediately after, he took the tumble. “Bro fell at the right lyrics 'hor kisi te dul gaya'” one fan joked, pointing out the coincidence.

When Diljit fell on stage in 2013

The fall also sparked memories of a similar incident during a concert back in 2013 when Diljit took a spill while performing alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh. Fans have often pointed to that moment as a turning point in his career, noting that after his fall, Diljit’s fame skyrocketed both in music and cinema.

“Har decade me ek baar toh girna hai (He has to fall once every decade),” one fan commented, referencing the singer’s history of dramatic stage moments. Many took the fall as a good omen, believing that each time Diljit has stumbled, his success has doubled. “Jab bhi gira hai ..doguna fame mila hai bande ko (Whenever he has fallen, he has found twice the fame),” one fan noted. Another added, “Last time gira to yaha tak pohocha, ab kaha tak (Last time he fell, he reached here. Now where all will he go).”
