New Delhi: Actor Ranbir Kapoor and wife Alia Bhatt finally revealed their daughter Raha's face at this year's legendary Kapoor Christmas lunch, which was hosted by Kunal Kapoor. Later on, several Kapoor family members posted fam-jam images on social media, which quickly went viral. Ranbir Kapoor and his family are the subjects of a formal complaint, alleging that a video of them enjoying Christmas offended religious sensibilities. As per PTI, the case has not yet been filed for a First Information Report (FIR).

On Wednesday (December 27), Sanjay Tiwari went to the Ghatkopar police station with his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra to file the report. He said that the star can be seen in the video putting liquor on a cake and setting it on fire while saying 'Jai Mata Di'.

The accusation said that Kapoor and his relatives knowingly consumed alcoholic beverages while celebrating a holiday of a different faith and shouted "Jai Mata Di". This violates Hindu tradition, which calls for the worship of the fire deity before invoking other deities.

Here’s the video:

In a viral video, Ranbir Kapoor can be seen lighting a liquor-poured cake on fire and chanting 'Jai Mata Di'. On the other side, Navya Naveli Nanda was filming the whole thing on her phone.

As the Kapoor family was enjoying a Christmas celebration together, the complaint aims to register an FIR against Kapoor under sections 295 A, 298 (Uttering words, etc., with deliberate intent to wound religious feelings), 500 (defamation), and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

The complainant's religious sentiments were allegedly harmed by this.
