New Delhi: ‘Bigg Boss 18’ participant Arfeen Khan spoke out about his wife Sara's miscarriages in a moving episode that aired on October 23. Bigg Boss's announcement that Sara will be leaving the program within 24 hours at Arfeen's request ratcheted up the tension between the duo. Arfeen used the chance to talk about the difficulties they've had as a couple.
In the episode, Arfeen spoke about a horrible event in their past—a miscarriage that happened after a car accident. He shared, “Sara was carrying twins when we met with the accident. I am her husband, and I’m protective towards her. I don’t think she’s weak, but sometimes I have to make difficult decisions. He made the harrowing statement, "You don't know what we've been through, what she has been through," to emphasise the pain of losing their children.
In addition, the couple was under tremendous pressure from others to have children. “People kept telling us to have kids, but they didn’t understand the pain and the battles we were dealing with,” Arfeen said, highlighting the emotional toll this had on them.
In another conversation, Arfeen brought up a tragic event in their lives when Sara's father passed away after their wedding. The mind coach said, “Her father was her life. I thought her backbone was gone, but I couldn’t replace him. I decided to fulfill my duties as a husband and took care of her. Not because she was weak but out of my care for her.”
Arfeen Khan and Sara Arfeen Khan tied the knot in 2009. Their twin girls, Zidane and Aizah, were born in 2019.
Hema Sharma was evicted from 'Bigg Boss 18' last week. The content creator was evicted from the reality program after Gunratan Sadavarte. Bigg Boss 18 is hosted by Salman Khan and airs on Colors TV, with 24/7 streaming available on JioCinema.
