New Delhi: Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee reportedly tied the knot with his girlfriend-mental health activist-singer, Piya Chakraborty today (November 27). According to reports, the wedding ceremony was held at Parambrata Chatterjee's Jodhpur Park residence, with close friends and relatives in attendance. It was reportedly a registry marriage in the afternoon.

According to a report in ETimes, Parambrata’s close friend Producer-director Aritra Sen was present and Piya’s close friend Ratnaboli Roy was also present. The couple wore traditional clothes for the ceremony. There will also be a party for their industry colleagues and friends. Despite being a small-scale event, arrangements include traditional rituals and a variety of delicacies. 

Parambrata and Piya have always acknowledged their close friendship but never opened up about their relationship. They have been spotted together many times in the past. Parambrata had also introduced Piya to his mother on one such occasion, and this had added to the speculation about their relationship. Three of them were seen at a restaurant in Park Street, Kolkata.

Recently, Piya had paid Parambrata a visit when he was in London for a long-scheduled shoot. 

Piya is a mental health professional specializing in psychology. On the other hand, Parambrata is a busy actor and director in Tollywood and has also worked in Bollywood. Piya was earlier married to musician Anupam Roy. 

Earlier this year, there were rumours of Parambrata Chatterjee and Piya Chakraborty secretly tying the knot. The actor had dismissed all the rumours calling them untrue. During Piya and Anupam’s separation, there were speculations about Parambrata and Piya's relationship, causing tension between them. 

Parambrata, earlier, had a long-term relationship with a foreigner named Eka and marriage was also on the cards. However, due to the pandemic, their relationship faced obstacles and they parted ways.
