As per a DNA India report, AR Rahman’s net worth is estimated at Rs. 1721 cr. Several other sites have quoted his net worth to be more than Rs. 1500 cr.

AR Rahman annual income and primary source of wealth

Reportedly, the richest male singer in India, AR Rahman commands a staggering fee of Rs. 3 cr per song. He also happens to be the highest-paid music composer in the country. As per several reports, Rahman charges upto Rs. 10 cr per film. Interestingly, reports claim that Rahman charges this fee to dissuade music producers from chasing him as he likes to focus on his own compositions. 

The musician's primary source of income comes from the background scores he created for his films, albums and even live concert tours across the globe. For live performances, Rahman charges Rs. 1-2 cr reportedly. 

He also has some brand endorsements and investments across the country that has earned him the status of being the richest male musician of the country. For someone whose first salary was a meagre Rs. 50, to now being the richest singer, AR Rahman has come a long way.

AR Rahman's assets

As per a GQ India report, AR Rahman happens to be the only Indian music composer to own a home in Los Angeles. His primary residence is his palatial bungalow in Chennai. His other investments include a number of studios across the world from Panchathan Record Inn and AM Studios, located on his street in Kodambakkam, as well as Firdaus Studio in Dubai and Abbey Road Studios and KM Musiq Studios in London.

AR Rahman's fleet of cars

AR Rahman's expensive car fleet boasts of luxury automobiles like Volvo SUV, a Merc worth Rs. 3 cr, a Jaguar worth Rs. 1 cr, a Porsche Taycan EV worth Rs. 3cr.
