New Delhi: Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma had starred together in 'Sultan'. During the promotion tour of the film in 2016, Salman had made a statement about his training for the film. At the time, his comment about feeling like a 'raped woman' when he walked out of the ring was unanimously slammed by audiences and fans. Several celebrities had also spoken about it. Now, an old clip of Anushka Sharma, Salman's co-star  from 'Sultan' has been going viral, wherein she called his statement 'insensitive'.

Anushka Sharma on Salman Khan's rape comment

A clip that seems to be taken from an interview with Anupama Chopra, shows Anushka Sharma answering a question about the same and said that his statement was ‘insensitive and something I was surprised by,” further adding, “All of us, not just celebrities have a responsibility of what they speak in any place, not just publically, anywhere."

When Chopra asked if Anushka thought about asking Salman Khan to apologise for his statement or if she did not know him well enough, Sharma said, "I don't know if well enough, quite honestly. I don't know him at all. I have worked on a film with him and that's the amount of interaction I have had with him. I find him a bit intimidating because Salman is someone who is not going to go out of his way to make you feel comfortable. He is going to be himself and he is just going to do his thing. I am very shy as a person so I can't bridge that gap either. I can't break that ice because I am not very good at it myself. So, in anycase, we don't have that kind of equation where we have conversations. You know, we have not spoken about anything."
