On Friday, the veteran actor took to social media to release a brief video clip celebrating his close friend and iconic Hollywood actor Robert De Niro's birthday. The video includes stills from many meetings between Anupam Kher and Robert De Niro. 

Robert is widely regarded as one of the finest performers to ever work in Hollywood, and his credits include such classics as ‘The Godfather Part II,’ ‘Taxi Driver,’ ‘Raging Bull,’ and ‘The Irishman.’

As Robert De Niro rings his 80th birthday today, Anupam Kher shared a special clip. On X (earlier Twitter), he captioned the video, "Happy birthday to my dearest friend and world’s #BestActor Mr. #RobertDeNiro. This year, on the occasion of Friendship Day, Anupam Kher expressed his "little extra" sadness for the loss of his closest buddy, Satish Kaushik. Actor and director Satish Kaushik died after a heart attack on March 9.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kher will next be seen in the Kangana Ranaut-directed film Emergency. The film chronicles the events that unfolded after Indira Gandhi declared a state of Emergency in 1975, which is widely regarded as one of the darkest periods in India's history due to the suppression of fundamental freedoms like the press.
