Anil Kapoor Disappears From Instagram To Announce 'Mr India 2'? Know What Boney Kapoor Has To Say
Fans have been left wondering if Anil Kapoor will announce 'Mr. India 2' after he mysteriously erased all of his Instagram posts.
New Delhi: Fans were taken aback on October 20 when Anil Kapoor abruptly removed all of his Instagram photos including the profile picture. The actor has over 5 million Instagram followers who are probably wondering whether his account was hacked since there are no new postings there. Either the actor's account was compromised by hackers or he erased all of his posts to drop hints about a new project. Fans began to theorise that it must be for the 'Mr India 2' announcement. Now, in a new interview, Boney Kapoor, the actor's brother, has responded to the same.
News18 said, citing an unnamed source, "Anil Kapoor has gone ‘invisible’ on social media as a point to kick off Mr India 2. Like his character in Mr India (1987), he is going invisible on social media."
Boney Kapoor addressed Anil Kapoor's decision to remove all of his Instagram postings in a recent interview with News18. Boney was questioned about this, and he said that he would not comment on ‘Mr. India 2’ until he saw Anil's Instagram page.
Boney Kapoor, who is the producer of the 1987 hit 'Mr. India', said, "Let me see, I haven’t seen it myself. But he did mention to me that he wants to show me something. I don’t think I will be able to talk about (Mr India 2’s announcement) until everything mature."
When Sonam Kapoor saw that her father's Instagram disappeared, she posted a reaction to her story. She took a snapshot of his account and questioned, "Dad?"
'Mr. India' was one of 1987's biggest hits and was directed by Shekhar Kapur. The film had an all-star cast, with Anil Kapoor playing the role of Arun Verma, a regular guy who runs an orphanage and gets his hands on an invisible watch. Sridevi also featured in the film and she portrayed a strict journalist. Satish Kaushik plays Calendar, Harish Patel portrays Roopchand, Annu Kapoor plays Editor Gaitonde, and Amrish Puri plays the villain Mogambo.
