New Delhi: On her birthday, actor Amala Paul got engaged to her boyfriend Jagat Desai. In a lovely surprise, Jagat asked Amala to marry him on her 32nd birthday. The actor accepted the proposal, and a clip of the moment was shared on social media. The two posted together on Instagram on Thursday. 

In the video, both of them are seen celebrating her birthday at a restaurant. As they all danced to the music, a few dancers first invited Jagat to join them. Jagat got down on one knee and proposed to Amala on the dance floor after she was brought there as well. The couple was seen dancing and drinking champagne as the video came to a finish.

Amala styled her off-the-shoulder pink dress with sneakers for the event. Jagat was spotted wearing a mustard jacket over a white T-shirt, jeans, and trainers.

Prior to this, Amala got married to director AL Vijay in Chennai in June 2014. Amala and Vijay parted ways after three years of marriage in 2017.

Amala Paul is a South Indian film artist who primarily works on Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films. In the Malayalam film 'Neelathamara', she made her acting debut. Some of her notable works include 'Deiva Thirumagal', 'Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi', 'Run Baby Run', 'Thalaivaa', and 'Mili'.

Amala Paul last appeared in a special role in Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer 'Bholaa'. The actor's next projects include 'Dvija', 'Aadujeevitham', and an untitled movie.
