Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a veteran when it comes to attending Cannes Film Festival. The actress has walked the red carpet several times – sometimes owning it and at times her fashion choices were criticised.
The former Miss World made her first red carpet appearance this year in Dolce and Gabbana's voluminous black gown with 3D floral motifs on it. She kept her hair and makeup simple and opted for minimal accessories.
As expected people were quick to react to Aishwarya’s look and the verdict on Twitter is divided. Aishwarya’s fans loved her dress and admired her ensemble and felt that she slayed the red carpet.
However, others on Twitter felt it was a fashion disaster. “Aishwarya's dress this year is a disaster.....there's floral fun and then there's drowning in flowers with a fabric that photographs like wrinkled monochrome drape I get it that she dresses for her kid but nope, this wasn't it,” a user wrote.

Apart from Aishwarya, Tamannah Bhatia, Pooja Hegde, and TV actress Helly Shah also attended the screening of Tom Cruise’s 'Top Gun: Maverick'.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the L'Oréal X Cannes anniversary dinner on Tuesday. The actress was accompanied by Abhishek Bachchan and Aaradhya. Aishwarya opted for a pink-hued body-hugging shimmery gown with a pink satin cape, Abhishek looked dapper in a black tuxedo and Aaradhya was wearing a red dress.
The 75th Cannes Film Festival kick-started on May 17 and will continue till May 28.
