Businessman Raj Kundra And Accomplices Operated Porn Videos Racket Via WhatsApp Group 'H'

Raj Kundra has been arrested for being the alleged “key conspirator” in a case of making pornographic films and will be produced before court today.

Mumbai: In the latest update on businessman Raj Kundra's case, CBI sources have revealed that the entire porn racket was operated by a WhatsApp group. Sources said that Raj Kundra is the admin of a WhatsApp group named 'H' where he used to deal with his accomplices and discuss strategies to trick women in the racket and increase views of the videos shared by their team on various apps.

Sources further informed that there are five members in this WhatsApp group 'H' and they discussed all transaction-related issues and shared ideas on how to enhance their video production and profits.

Raj Kundra's close aide Rian John has also been arrested by the Mumbai Police. John used to handle the technical end of the videos so the "viewers" don't face any interruptions while watching.

The Mumbai police crime branch arrested businessman Raj Kundra on Monday night for being the alleged “key conspirator” in the case of making pornographic films and publishing them through mobile applications.

Kundra is the husband of actor and businesswoman Shilpa Shetty.

The Property Cell of the Mumbai crime branch had in February this year registered an FIR in connection with the case and arrested nine persons soon after. Kundra’s name came up during the interrogation of the accused, police officers said.

On Monday, Kundra was summoned for questioning, following which he was placed under arrest. Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale said, “We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress.”

Raj Kundra will be produced before the court today and police will seek remand to carry out the further probe.  So far, 11 accused have been arrested in the case, including Kundra.
