Bhojpuri Actress Akanksha Dubey Commits Suicide. Know All About Her

Akanksha had gone to Varanasi for a shoot, where she committed suicide in a hotel room. A few hours before that, she had shared a video of herself on Instagram and had also gone LIVE on the platform.

New Delhi: Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey committed suicide in a hotel room in Varanasi, on Sunday. The 25-year-old actress had gone to Varanasi for a  shoot. The police have already informed her family about her death. Sadly, on Saturday night, she had uploaded a video on Instagram, where she was dancing.

In the video, she was showcasing her belly dancing skills to the beats of the Bhojpuri song 'Hilore Mare'. Akanksha was merrily dancing in front of a mirror while recording the video herself, sporting a black crop top and blue jeans.

Sharing the video, she had captioned the post saying, "Just try."

Netizens are shattered and have left their heartfelt comments on the video. One of them wrote, "Bhojpuri queen...we always miss you..", while, another person said, "Unbelievable..she was dancing a few hours ago and now!!??!"

Also, a video of Akanksha crying inconsolably during an Instagram LIVE, just hours before her death, has surfaced on social media platforms. Several Twitter users have shared the video claiming that it was recorded just a few hours before Akanksha's death.

Akanksha was well-known in the Bhojpuri film industry. She made her acting début at the age of 17 in the film 'Meri Jung Mera Faisla'. Additionally, she has also appeared in films such as 'Mujhse Shadi Karogi' (Bhojpuri), 'Veeron Ke Veer', 'Fighter King', 'Kasam Paida Karne Ki 2', and others. 

Born and brought up in Mirzapur, she was fond of dancing and acting since she was a child. She began her career by making videos on Tiktok and Instagram and soon became popular as her videos got viral. Currently, she has a massive fan base on Instagram with around 1.7 million followers. 

The actor was rumoured to be dating her co-star Samar Singh. She had also shared a picture with him to wish him Valentine's Day last month.
