Actress Ameesha Patel Granted 2 Weeks’ Time To File Response In The 2.5 Crore Scam

Ameesha Patel has been given 2 weeks’ time by the Jharkhand High Court by Judge Anand Sen to file a written response in the cheque bounce case reportedly.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has been accused of allegedly committing a fraud of Rs 2.5 crore by a film producer. Reportedly, the ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ actress borrowed the money for her film ‘Desi Magic’ in the year 2018. Ameesha met the producer in the year 2017 reportedly. It was then when they had the discussion about her film which git stuck in the middle due to financial crisis. The actress then borrowed Rs 2.5 crore from the producer for the film which later got shelved.

Now, according to a report of SpotboyE, Ameesha Patel has been given 2 weeks’ time by the Jharkhand High Court by Judge Anand Sen to file a written response in the cheque bounce case. The case was heard by video conferencing reportedly.

Though there has been no response from the ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ actress yet, the case was earlier filed in a court in Ranchi after the cheque provided by Ameesha to Ajay Kumar Singh bounced back.

Singh earlier Told IANS, “Initially, I was told that the film will release in June (this year). Then I was told that it will release in September. But I will get my money with interest by September. Though I was given a cheque of Rs 3 crore, it bounced. When I tried to do a follow-up, her whole attitude changed and she said I am a small investor and I should keep quiet. But it is my money.”

Meanwhile, Ameesha Patel made her Bollywood debut with the 2000 movie ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ opposite Hrithik Roshan. She has appeared in movies like ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ and others.
