Alia Bhatt Will Soon Be Adding Kapoor To Her Name

"We are going to have a child now. I don't want to be the Bhatt, whilst the Kapoors are traveling together; you know what I mean? I don't want to feel left out," Alia Bhatt said.

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are Bollywood's current favourite couple. Both seem to be making headlines for their upcoming film 'Brahmastra' and the buzz around soon-to-be-parents. Alia Bhatt in a recent interaction with a publication shared that she will soon be changing her name to Alia Bhatt-Kapoor. In a conversation with Mid-Day, Alia shared that she has been thinking about the name change for a while.

In a conversation with Mid-Day, Alia shared that although her screen name will remain the same, she will be changing her name to Alia Bhatt-Kapoor on all official documentation. Talking about updating her name on the passport, Alia told Mid-Day, "I am happy to do it." In fact, she has been wanting to do it for quite some time but because of her busy schedule was not able to. 

"We are going to have a child now. I don't want to be the Bhatt, whilst the Kapoors are traveling together; you know what I mean? I don't want to feel left out," Alia said.

Alia was most recently seen as Badrunissa in 'Darlings' with Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma. Alia received critical and audience acclaim for her performance in the Netflix film. Alia also has another major release 'Brahmastra' with Ranbir Kapoor lined up for release in September.

'Brahmastra' has been directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar under the Dharma banner. 'Brahmastra' has been touted as India's first pan-fantasy-flick which will have an own universe of its own, something like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with its Astraverse.

Besides ‘Brahmastra’, Alia also has Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ with Ranveer Singh besides her first Hollywood film, ‘Heart of Stone’ with Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot.

Alia also has Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Je Le Zaraa’ with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra which has been shifted to 2023 considering the three actresses' dates and prior commitments.
