Saiyaara Hits Rs 9.39 Cr In Advance Booking, Beats Recent Salman Khan & Akshay Kumar Releases

Mohit Suri's Saiyaara stuns trade experts with ₹9.39 crore advance bookings and 3.8 lakh tickets sold, setting the stage for a massive opening day.

Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara has taken the box office by storm even before hitting theatres. Starring fresh faces Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has defied expectations, racking up record-breaking advance bookings that have surprised even the most seasoned trade experts.

Backed by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara isn’t just making noise—it's rewriting the playbook for debutant-led releases in Bollywood. Despite featuring newcomers in the lead, Saiyaara has generated the kind of buzz usually reserved for established stars. The film’s advance booking numbers alone are already making headlines.

Saiyaara Advance Bookings

According to Sacnilk, Saiyaara recorded a staggering ₹9.39 crore in advance bookings ahead of release day. With 3.8 lakh tickets sold in pre-sales alone, this mid-budget film has outpaced several debutant-led blockbusters from the past. In comparison, Dhadak made ₹8.76 crore on its opening day, while Student of the Year began with ₹3.75 crore.

Saiyaara is now in a different league altogether. Rather than being compared to other debut vehicles, the film is being pitted against big-budget films featuring Bollywood veterans.

Outperforming Star-Driven Films

Saiyaara's advance booking collections have surpassed several recent releases from Bollywood heavyweights. Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force registered ₹3.78 crore in advance bookings, while Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 touched ₹6.52 crore. Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par managed only ₹3.32 crore.

Salman Khan’s Sikandar was the only film to beat Saiyaara on paper, with advance bookings slightly over ₹10 crore. However, Saiyaara sold more tickets overall—3.8 lakh compared to Sikandar's 3.3 lakh. The Mohit Suri film also dominated in multiplex chains, where it sold nearly double the tickets of the Salman-starrer. Sikandar fared better in single-screen circuits and mass-dominated regions.

Saiyaara Day 1 Collections

Trade analysts now believe that Saiyaara could open with ₹20 crore or more on Day 1, positioning it as one of the top openers of the year. Only Chhaava, Sikandar, and Housefull 5 currently hold stronger first-day records. If positive word-of-mouth sustains, the film may even surpass Housefull 5 and inch toward the ₹25 crore mark on its first day.
