Actress Payal Ghosh Attacked By Masked Men, Says She Escaped ‘Acid Attack’ & Is In Trauma

Payal Ghosh was in news months ago when she had accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment.

In a shocking incident, actress Payal Ghosh says she was recently attacked by a group of men when she was returning to her home in Andheri area of Mumbai. Narrating the entire incident in a video message Payal revealed that she was about to get in her car when some masked men tried to hit her with a rod. Payal who says she is in trauma ever since the attack further added that her attacker was also holding a bottle which she assumed had acid in it.

The actress escaped the attack, but says iron rod had hit her hands injured, Payal also shared picture of her injured arm on her Insta story.

The actress says she will file a police complaint in the entire matter on Monday.

Payal Ghosh was in news months ago when she had accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment.

On work front, Payal has been part of films like 'Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi', 'Freedom' and few Tamil films.

The actress is now set to play a sportswoman in an upcoming Bollywood film and renowned trainer Amer Kamra is training her for the role.

Talking about her upcoming untitled sports film, she told IANS: "The film is not a biopic, it is the story of a girl who enjoys sports but her family forces her to get married and start a family. The film is about her struggle between her love for sports, having a career, and her family."
