New Delhi: The crime-thriller drama series ‘Aarya’ is back with its much-awaited second season. Featuring Sushmita Sen in the lead role, the web series has been directed by Ram Madhvani, Sandeep Modi and Vinod Rawat. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, the star cast opened up and shared details about the upcoming season.

The first season of ‘Aarya’ had been a huge success with Sushmita Sen portraying the role of an independent woman who seeks to protect her family. While doing so, Sushmita’s character joins a mafia gang in order to get revenge for her husband’s death. ‘Aarya’ marked Sushmita Sen’s debut in the digital world and she has been witnessed in a never-seen-before avatar.

‘Aarya’ has been nominated for International Emmy Awards in the Best Drama Series category. Though the web series couldn’t bag any award at the Emmy’s, being nominated on an international platform is in itself an achievement.

Meanwhile, the trailer of ‘Aarya’ crossed 30 million views in just 10 days of its release. Sushmita shared the news on her social media and wrote, “We FEEL the love!!! #AaryaSeason2 #30millionviews Already!!! Thank you guys for making this journey ever so exciting!!! I love you beyond!!! #duggadugga With gratitude, #TeamAarya”.

‘Aarya 2’ is all set to release on Disney+Hotstar on December 10, 2021.
